Meghan & Harry get hitched: what can we expect?

This Saturday is THE DAY, finally… the wedding of the year will be taking place in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting hitched! I can’t wait! does my Saturday look like? I’ll be a couch potato, binging on my favorite snacks, doing nothing but watch the royal wedding. Lol, I almost believed that was possible. Gone are the days where doing nothing was possible, because I’ve got a 1-year-old, who I adore, but doesn’t quite understand that sometimes mommy wants some me time.

So honey, darling, sweetie-pie, be a dear and remember that you have two parents who love you to pieces, but maybe let daddy be your favorite this Saturday? And, while we’re on the subject, let’s make a deal… As long as daddy doesn’t propose to mommy… we’ll keep annoying him!

   You got it dude

With all that being said… what should we expect on Saturday?

The dress

We’re only days away from the royal wedding and everyone wants to know ‘Who designed Meghan’s dress’? It’s a well-kept secret at this point, but rumor has it ‘Ralph & Russo’ -  the designers of engagement dress – is still a contender. According to the Daily Mail however, British fashion house Burberry also has a very good shot, as Meghan is a big fan and friend of Isabel May, who was their communication Director for a very long time. Last but definitely not least, designer Roland Mouret, a longtime friend of Meghan’s, has refused to comment on whether or not he will be making THE dress.

Whoever the designer, we have a pretty good idea of what the gown could look like. How do we know? Well Meg described her perfect wedding gown during an interview with ‘Glamour’ even before she and Harry met, stating: “Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist. I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic.” Wonder how the Queen feels about that…

Reports also say Meghan will have two dresses on Saturday, one for the ceremony and another one for the evening so she can party the night away in something glamorous and less restrictive. I’ll save that tip for when it’s my turn * sigh *.

The jewelry

We already know everything about the stunning engagement ring Harry gave her, but what other jewelry will she wear? Per her style in the past, it's likely Markle will avoid anything bold – she typically prefers daintier pieces, stackable rings and - like her engagement ring - yellow gold.

Obviously this all depends on the dress she’ll wear. Typically, royal wedding gowns require a level of coverage that leaves little room for necklaces and bold cuffs. So Meghan will likely opt for subtle (yet jaw-dropping) earrings and as it’s a royal tradition, Meghan will probably wear a tiara.

The shoes

Meghan is all about killer heels! She’s used to wearing sky-high heels from her days on ‘Suits’ and her various red carpet appearances. She’s a huge fan of Manolo Blahnik, Aquazzura, Tamara Mellon and Jimmy Choo. Saying Meghan prefers pumps would be the understatement of the year. Given the fact al four designers mentioned above have a bridal line and she has a ton of experience walking in them, chances are high she’ll wear super-high stiletto pumps by one of them. Very courageous if you ask me! (Then again, why would you ask me?  It’s not like I would know… HE STILL HASN’T PROPOSED!)

I did the best I could

Unfortunately that’s all we know about the dress, the jewelry and the shoes for now… I can’t wait till Saturday and I’ll give you a full report next week! Now there’s only one more thing to investigate… How to bribe a one year old… Keep you posted!
